Half-Hour Principle

Once an alarm is triggered, or the police are notified, they typically take up to 30 minutes or more to arrive.  Anything that is going to happen after an intruder enters, is most likely going to happen within the first 15 minutes.  Whether the damage is caused by theft, assault, kidnapping, or murder, it is usually done by the time the police arrive and more often than not, the intruders are long gone.  In essence, time is the critical factor to ensure a safe outcome.  The “Half Hour Principle™” requires that the occupants be kept safe from harm for at least 30 minutes from the time the threat presents itself.

Conventional wisdom has our home as our castle, and our electronic alarm system as our defense.  Nothing could be further from reality.  Alarms make noise, but have no true protective features. Strangers can penetrate any unprotected environment, and the average home provides little if any resistance to invasion, even in gated communities. If you survive a break-in, the trauma alone caused from a violation to you or your belongings can cause physical and emotional scars that last a lifetime.

Criminals execute crimes on their own terms based upon specific assumptions; glass will break, doors can be penetrated, occupants can be surprised, overcome or silenced.  Criminals choose the time and the method to carry out their plans, empowering them with the element of surprise. SAFE flips the script eliminating the typical vulnerabilities of residences, offices and yachts, documenting the criminals attempts, deterring any further action and even detaining them indefinitely if desired.  The criminal is now the victim because they can't defeat what they can't see.  And there is nothing more intimidating than the unknown.

SAFE's discreet, protected environments keep you insulated from harm, and safely provide the critical time you need for help to arrive.
